Years ago, I found a photo of my grandfather’s brother & his family. There were 3 little girls & an a older boy. Through our love of wanting to know more about our Smith families , I met the youngest girl Loveda. Later, I got to meet Roberta & Dale, they shared my passion to learn more about our family history. I was able to visit them in Fresno, we had a great time visiting family. I had only met them once before, but I felt like we had known each other for many years. I got to spend a day with Roberta talking family, it was a day I will treasure the rest of my life.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Roberta once however I talked to her often and we sent messages. She was so sweet and I told my brothers and sisters she had our grandmothers sweet smile. Roberta’s dad and my grandmother were first cousins. We met through Terrell Smith and Dale Barnes. I will be praying for all of you. God Bless
