He served 6 years in the Army Reserve. He had recently retired after almost 50 years in the grocery business. He started at Safeway, then after 25 years he went to work for Savemart and was there for 23 years.
He was truly one of a kind, he never met a stranger. Roger was always quick with a joke and loved fast cars.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard and Dorothy Sanders.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Susie (Trout) Sanders of Clovis, one son, Todd Sanders, his wife Claudia, and three grandsons, Cameron, Mason, and Ryan, of Star Id., one brother Randy Sanders of Los Banos, CA.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Roger Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church on 4th and Orange in Chowchilla, CA.
