He enjoyed being a member of his church quartet as a trumpeter. Ron was also very proud of his career as a senior Logistic Management Specialist. He retired after 31 years serving in the Weapons Support Division at Point Mugu Naval Air Station.
Ron was preceded by his parents, Ernest and Marie VanDeusen; and his oldest son, Steven.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Grace; children and their spouses, his oldest daughter, Pamela Nickelson; son, Mark VanDeusen; and youngest daughter, Deborah Shores .
A Graveside Service will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mt. Blvd. Arvin, CA on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
