Rosalinda Peña

Rosalinda Peña (née Perales), born on April 24, 1958, in Fresno, California, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2025. She lived a life filled with devotion to her family, friends, and pets. Rosalinda and her future husband, Rosendo Peña Jr., met at Parlier High School. The couple married while Rosendo attended Fresno State. Rosalinda selflessly put her education on hold to provide for her family, taking on various jobs at the City of Parlier, City of Fresno, and later Ticor Title Co. During this time, they were blessed with three children: Rosendo III, Daniel Andres, and Tomas Luis.

While in Los Angeles, Rosalinda participated in the 1984 Olympics torch relay, an experience she cherished deeply. Upon returning to Fresno, she resumed her education, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree from Fresno City College and later participated in Fresno State's Chicano Commencement ceremony. In 1999, Rosalinda joined the US Postal Service as a Letter Carrier, enjoying her routes until her retirement 17 years later.

Rosalinda was a constant source of support for Rosendo throughout his legal career, which led to his appointment as a judge to the Fresno Superior Court in 2002 and as a Justice of the Fifth Appellate District in 2012. The couple cherished their time together in their Grover Beach vacation home, where they made lasting memories and friendships at various outdoor concerts and events.

With an unwavering love for animals, Rosalinda always had a dog and two cats at home. Her appreciation for nature extended to watching birds and squirrels explore her front yard in Fresno.

Rosalinda Peña touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, commitment, and cherished memories.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 4:30 pm followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm, at

the Lisle Funeral Home, located at 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:30 am at Saint John's Cathedral, located at 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, CA 93721.

Graveside Service on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:30 am Parlier Cemetery, located at 7932 S. Mendocino Ave, Parlier, CA 93648.
