Rosary Bernal Rocha was born on November 20th, 1933 in Santa Ana, California to her father Baltazar Bernal and her mother Rosa. She grew up in Santa Ana and had 3 sisters and 1 brother, all of whom have passed. She met and married Sylvester Rocha at the age of 16 and moved to Fresno. They started a family shortly after and were blessed with 3 loving sons. Her sons and grandchildren affectionately called her “Mom Rocha” as she was truly a mother to all! She would care for everyone with love, attention, and a warm meal. Rosary was a very faithful servant of Jehovah and shared his message with everyone she met. Her talents included cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She always kept her home neat and clean and welcomed everyone into her home with loving arms. Later in life she discovered another hidden talent for oil painting. She created countless works of art and gave each of her grandchildren one of her paintings.
Rosary passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Sylvester; her sons Raymond, Mario, his wife Nancy, and her youngest son James. She leaves behind her 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She made so many friends along the way that loved her dearly and will miss her presence in their lives.
