Rosemary Campos Gomez, 77, of Fresno, CA, passed away on October 31, 2020 in Fresno, CA. She was born on February 8th, 1943, in Azusa, CA to Alfonso and Tomasa Campos and was the eldest of three children. Rosemary attended Central High School in Fresno, CA. She married her loving husband Concepcion (Chon) Gomez on January 26th, 1964. She had two loving children: daughter, Anne, and son, Richard. Rosemary devoted her life to taking care of her family. As a loving daughter, she took care of her mother and was always by her side after her father’s death. Rosemary was very close to her younger brother, Albert. The two could always be found together laughing, playing practical jokes on each other, and caring for one another as they cared for their mother Tomasa. As a caring mother, Rosemary dedicated her life to being involved in her children’s education and lives. She was always involved in their school programs, signed up to be “Room Mother” for their classrooms, and could always be found on a field supporting her children’s athletic events or cheerleading activities. She was viewed and loved as a motherly figure to the friends of her son and daughter as she treated them all as they were hers. Rosemary enjoyed life. She loved throwing parties, celebrating birthdays and holidays (especially Christmas), and took joy in watching everyone open their gifts from her. Yard sales were her favorite pastime and she loved going to the casino to play the slot machines. Her hobbies included creating floral arrangements, shopping, going to the coast, watching a good scary movie, and spending time with the family. Rosemary was a devoted and caring grandmother to her granddaughters, Alix and Leah. She supported them through every step in their young and adult lives. She would pick them up from school and participated in school activities by being a chaperone on field trips, going to award ceremonies, or bringing birthday cupcakes to their classrooms. Her love didn’t stop there. She cherished her three greatgrandchildren, Jayson, Evan and Gabby. She loved every opportunity when she could watch them grow. She attended their school events and award ceremonies with pride and joy. Each of us always knew we could count on her being in the audience to cheer us on and take extreme pride in our accomplishments. She invested her heart and soul in our futures, in our well-being, and in our spirits. Rosemary is preceded in death by her father, Alfonso, mother, Tomasa, and brother, Albert. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chon, daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Mark Gonzales, son, Richard Gomez, two grandchildren, Alix and Leah Gonzales, and three greatgrandchildren, Jayson, Evan, and Gabrielle. She will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever.

We are so sorry to hear so late about Rosie Campos Gomez passing away on 10/31/2020. Our sincere Condolence to her husband, Chon and their children, Anne and Richard, her brother Manuel, and to the rest of the family.
Both our parents go way back with the Campos family living in the outskirts of Highway City. I remember as a kid when Rosie would be walking in the back orchard of our home going to Teague School and she would always say "hi" to us. Also, remember Rosie as a singer like her dad was too. I remember the day I was at the Campos home playing w/ Albert and that was the day I also met Rosie's future husband Chon Gomez, who was a well known good boxer in Fresno. Rosie introduced Chon to me that day as a kid, which made my day.
So many good memories with the Campos/Gomez Families.
RIP Rosie Campos Gomez.
