She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Applewhite, Sr.
Rowena is survived by her daughter, Sandy Pierce and her husband, Bill; son Bill Applewhite, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; sisters Mary Johnson and Edith Nolan; and brother Wayne Nolan.
A funeral service will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 3:00 pm.
