Ruben worked for Foster Farms since 2005 and worked his way up to a superintendent. He was a hardworking man, always showed up to work early, and stayed longer to get the job done if needed and sometimes still worked while he was at home. He was dedicated to his career and building strong relationships with his work friends who became family. He was very driven to manage and provide leadership in all of his achievements and was humbly thankful to be given the opportunity to show his strengths as a leader.
Ruben has two children, Justin and Sabrina. He has 5 grandchildren. These were his pride and joy, and he loved being a papa and was so very proud of every one of them. Imani, Halia, Kitai, Elianna, and Aaron. His one true goal, he would say, is to get to see all my grandchildren, I'm alright. These are Papa's angles and would always squeeze them with his hugs and give them candy and always show up to either pick them up from school or to their sports activities and academic or school functions. He even took Halia to a dance at school. He was her date. He was so happy to take her and look so
handsome next to her.
Ruben was very proud to be native/Hispanic and Armenian and loved to eat his favorite meals prepared by his family. It was to honor his late mom and dad.
He taught us the importance of family and to always be there for each other. Ruben had the biggest heart and was strong till the very end, and his perseverance was unmatched. He taught us to love God, love people, and never give up.
Ruben was a member of The Current.church for years and loved his Bible study time with the men of God he was thankful for his great Friend that became family, Papa Joe and he was dedicated to learning more about God and getting closer to him.
Ruben loved to dance! Everyone who knew him knew he liked to 'back it up' and 'raise the roof' and just enjoy his life! He was always the life of the party and always wanted to dance. His personality was so big and infectious, and his smile was contagious. He has the best smile!
Ruben loved to bbq with his family and be with his children. He just loved spending time creating memories.
Ruben was very giving and helpful to anyone who needed anything and dedicated his life to his family and his children and grandchildren.
Ruben was so funny and had the best jokes and sometimes questionable ones! He just wanted to laugh and eat good and have a good life.
Ruben loved sports! His favorite team is the Redskins, The braves and the 76ers. Anything to do with sports he loved and shared those times with his friends and family.
Ruben was a 'Harley guy' he would say. That bike that his son proudly rides for him was his dream and loved to ride with his buddies and loved to show up to Rev up that engine letting you know, 'pops' / 'papa' is here! So, ride for Him!
Ruben lived a great life, and he is with his father, and for that, we all are grateful for his life because his life touched so many.
Ruben is survived by his two loving children, Sabrina Leon and Justin Leon.
Ruben is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Imani, Halia, Kitai, Eliana and Aaron. Being a Papa was one of his greatest joys and blessings.
