Ruby Montejano Falcon was born June 9, 1926 in Laton, CA. Born of Eliseo and Guadalupe Montejano, Ruby was one of 6 children. A farmworker at an early age in the fields of the Central Valley, she later married and became Mother to 7 children. She was a resident of Hayward, CA. and then Fresno, CA. Ruby was a devoted Catholic who prayed the rosary each day. She made certain her children did the same. She Mothered with a tough hand and instilled a work ethic into each of her children. Not always able to experience the easiest of life, Ruby worked in the Cannery and made sure her children always
had what they needed.
She is survived by her daughters and sons, Gloria Hawley, Hope Mascarenas, Richard Falcon, Lupe Falcon and Ben Hurtado. Her oldest son & youngest son, Joe Falcon Jr. and Martin Hurtado, greeted her as she arrived home to heaven and into the loving arms of our Lord on March 8, 2017. A parent should never lose a child but she survived it with grace and dignity.
She is also survived by her Sisters Betsy Camarillo, Jenny Martin, Jovita Orozco and Helen Lara. A grandmother for many and a great grandmother to a few, Ruby left an indelible mark in the hearts of her family. She was quick with the discipline, but she was equally quick to help any of us who needed it.
