Ruth Alles

daughter of John and Lizzie Preis, born September 3, 1920. She was a graduate of

Sanger High School and Wolf College of Costume Designing, Los Angeles, CA. She

was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and “grape” grandmother. She was a wonderful

homemaker and well known for her sewing, cooking, baking, and gardening. She

became known as the “Cookie Grandma” because she was regularly baking and

stocking her freezer with homemade chocolate chip and M&M cookies for her

grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Albert Alles, sister Eleanor Mehl, and

brother Victor Preis.

She is survived by her brother John Pries and wife Evelyn; Son

Kenneth Alles and wife Tori, grandson Kenny Alles and wife Allison, great grandchildren

Trenten, Karson, and Dallan; son Stanley Alles and wife Diana, granddaughter Nicole,

great grandchildren Wyatt and Whittney; granddaughter Rochelle Mederos and

husband Michael, grandchildren Michaela and Tanner; grandson Stanley Alles, Jr. and

wife Julie, great grandchildren Addison, Aiden, and Ashlyn; daughter Jacolyne McMurry

and husband Marty, granddaughter Allee Schneider and husband Charlie, great

grandchildren CJ and Austin; grandson Jacob McMurry and fiancee Lynne.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Stephens and Bean

Funeral Chapel, 202 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, CA 93706. Funeral Services will be held

at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel Friday, March 6 at 10:00 a.m. with Graveside

services to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S. Cornelia Ave., Fresno, CA

93706.
