Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband Truman Byron Pipes, daughter in law Marilyn Joseph Pipes; her father, Rufus King Russell; her mother, Janie Hively Russell; her two brothers, Kern K. Russell and Lloyd R. Russell; and her sisters, Maida Russell Ownby Sneed; Bertha Fidelia Russell Gard; and Mary Russell Afdem.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Pipes and Stanley Pipes; and by her grandchildren Lisa Newton, Brenda Phillips (Chris), Crista Reimer (Jeff),
Joseph Newton (Tara); great grand children Nicholas Newton, Shannon Moreno (Josh), Kalli Newton, Kyah Newton, Mason Phillips, Ryder Phillips, Sylar Newton and Jayden Reimer.
She had been cared for by the loving staff at Somerford Place for the last 10 years.
She will be remembered fondly for her love of singing, children’s education, empowering women and most importantly her faith in God.
