How we wish we could be there.  My mother, Mariann Duerksen Unruh is the youngest sister to Ruth. She herself is in a nursing home and her & Ruth would talk to eachother on the phone and share holiday cards & notes over the past few years. As years and then the last months passed by, it was obvious Aunt Ruth desired to pass on. She stated more than once, "I don't know why I have to live so long." She longed to pass over into a new life per Jesus Christ's promise to go before us and prepare a place for us in God's presence.  Mariann often thought of Ruth, far away in California from Kansas and she missed her. They a lovely last visit face-to-face about twelve years ago when Mariann flew to Fresno. Ruth used a walker and lived in a nice apartment that was assisted living. Family was important to both these sisters and they visited back & forth frequently between California and Kansas over the years as families grew and life changed, but their relationship was one full of love & shared experiences & the same faith. Remember Clinton, you are an orphan here for awhile, but you're family life raised you up into a wonderful man, husband, father, and now, grandfather. Continue to enjoy life!  Love, cousin Jennifer
