Sally Moreno, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at 2:45 a.m. in Fresno, California. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, remembered for her resilience, strength, and perseverance through a lifetime of challenges. Having faced many trials and tribulations, she carried herself with determination and courage, never allowing hardship to define her. She was known for her unmistakable personality—her sharp sense of humor, bold and blunt honesty, and fearless way of speaking her mind. Strong-willed and unapologetically herself, she was also deeply generous, always willing to give, help, and show up for those she loved. Her presence was powerful, her laughter unforgettable, and her love for her family unwavering.
Sally devoted her life to her family as a loving and dedicated mother and homemaker, creating a home built on strength, care, and unwavering commitment. Nurturing, protecting, and providing for her family was her life’s work, and she carried that responsibility with pride and purpose.
Her generosity extended far beyond her home. She was deeply committed to helping vulnerable families and children, offering support through charitable giving, sponsorships, and causes dedicated to protecting and uplifting those in need. Giving back was not something she spoke about—it was something she lived by.
She was deeply passionate about her family and loved them fiercely, in a way that was uniquely her own. While she was not a traditional, outwardly affectionate grandmother, her love was constant and deeply felt. Though she was not always able to voice her love in words, she tried to show it through her actions. At times, her bluntness or strong presence could be misunderstood, but these qualities were shaped by her upbringing and the environment in which she was raised.
She prayed faithfully for her family, calling out each member by name every day. These prayers were her quiet devotion, her way of watching over those she loved, and a reflection of the deep care she carried in her heart. In all that she did, her love was steadfast, intentional, and enduring.
Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luis Moreno; her mother Lorenza Garcia; her brothers Ruben, Rudy, Abel, Freddy, and Richard; and other beloved family members Tyler Martinez, Camilla Grace Moreno, and Mary Lopez.
She is survived by her six children: Cathy, Isaac, Michael (Guy), Jackie and her partner Eric, Mario and his wife Nyen, Krista and her wife Lexi. She was also the proud grandmother of fourteen grandchildren: Robin and her husband Andrew, Skylar and his partner Tiffany, Jacob, Isaac, Shane, Tara, Steven, Nicholas, Carissa, Ethan, Destiny and her husband Tai, Adrian and his wife Alondra, Piggy, and Pork Chop, and the loving great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Caleb, Sadie, Tyler, Elena, Tyson, and Baby Adrian.
