Scott "Allen" Elston, Jr., 29, of New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ on August 22, 2024. He was born on December 13, 1994, in New Orleans. The beloved son of Scott Allen Elston, Sr. and Kim Barrios Elston, and proud brother of Triston Charles Elston. He was the grandson of “Gibby” Beverly Hebert Elston and the late Harold “Gene” Eugene Elston and, “Mimi” Miriam Sandoz Barrios and the late Charles Jude Barrios. He is also survived by his aunts: Terry Elston Calegan, Jenny Elston Masson, Evy Poutous Elston, and uncles: Steve Eugene Elston, Mark Calegan and Robert K Masson, Gary L Rogers and cousins: Michelle Masson, Bobby Masson, Jake Elston, Devin Calegan, Chris Elston, Kaylynn Calegan and Owen Elston.
Scott "Allen" had a quick wit and kind heart. He was a generous and compassionate person who enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Allen never knew a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel special. He always had a passion for geology and had the opportunity to work for the U.S. Corps of Engineers in New Orleans after graduating from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Geology in 2023. Allen was a proud alumnus of St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS, where he transferred for his junior and senior years of high school and graduated in 2013. He also attended Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, LA, as a freshman and sophomore.
Scott "Allen" loved his family and friends dearly and was always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear or simply to lighten the mood. Allen’s dog Spike and cat Chi Chi were his prized possessions loved as children. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, fishing, hunting, hiking, and playing video games. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. Allen will be forever missed and remembered by all who knew him.
