

He is survived by his two siblings Thomas A. MacMichael Jr. and Jenny Naef-MacMichael and their families.
He graduated from Bullard High School in 1975 and went on to Chico State College where he graduated with a degree in English.
He was married in 1986 to Janiece Bell in Fresno. The marriage ended 10 years later. In later years he and Janiece re-united as loving friends.
Scott was a great communicator and had a way with words, and he used these talents in Positions with both the Fresno Bee and local television. He also worked in advertising in different capacities in the Fresno area.
At the same time Scott had a quiet side, he read a great deal and followed sports and world events closely. He had a great interest in Fresno, and wide knowledge of Fresno history.
In his circle of friends Scott was known for his funny stories, his enthusiasm for sports, and his encyclopedic knowledge of sports facts. His cogent political commentary and hilarious delivery of any story were legendary. Furthermore, he was always one to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered lovingly by his wide circle of friends for the sly smile and the twinkle in his eye.
A celebration of life will be held at the Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club in Fresno.
