She attended Kerman High School, where she graduated as valedictorian. Sharon went on to continue her education at California State University, Fresno, earning both a Bachelor of Science and an MBA. During her time there, she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Sharon dedicated 42 years to the Fresno Unified School District, where she taught business courses at McLane High School. Over the course of her career, she served as department chair and played a key role in establishing one of only four student-run banks in the nation at the time. She also helped develop numerous business, finance, and computer courses, as well as an entrepreneurial program in partnership with her alma mater.
In addition to her teaching career, Sharon operated a holiday store, Grapes-N-More, for ten years in partnership with her mother Katherine. Outside of her professional life, Sharon enjoyed teaching yoga, traveling, gardening, and staying active in her community.
After retiring, she joined her brother Marvin and nephew Kale in managing the family vineyards. Together, they transformed the land into almond and walnut orchards, continuing the legacy of their fourth-generation family farm.
She is survived by her nephew Kale, extended family, and those friends who will remember her dedication, independence, and the lasting impact on those around her.
A service for Sharon will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 N Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California, 93706, on May 5th, 2026, starting at 10:00 am with a committal following at Fresno Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All of Sharon's friends and loved ones are welcome to attend.
