Shelia Kay Ferreira
October 6, 1942 – March 11, 2019
Devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend, Shelia Ferreira, 76, was born October 6, 1942, in Hobbs, New Mexico to J.T. and Iva Wyatt. She was the youngest of three daughters. On March 11, 2019, Our Lord came down from the heavens, put his arms around Shelia and whispered, "Come with Me".
She is survived by her three children, Eric Ferreira, William "Bill" Ferreira, Tammy Anderson; son in law Meryl Anderson; sister Pat Woodland and brother in law Ed Woodland; sister in law Dorothy Ferreira; brother in law Bob Giese; sister in law Lola Rodriguez; granddaughters, Jamie Garrity with husband Nathan, Tabitha Ferguson with husband Jeff, Kirsten Roberts with husband T.J., Jackie Chamseddine with husband Ali, Jill, Jennifer and Jamie Hopper; great-grandchildren, McKenna Roberts, Paisley Ferguson, Leila and Malik Chamseddine; and nieces and nephews who have fond memories of growing up with Aunt Shelia. She leaves behind many loving friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, who passed away in 2015, and sister Betty, who passed away in 2014.
Shelia met the love of her life, Jerry Ferreira, in 1964, and two years later they were married on August 27, 1966. The shared a lifetime of love and happiness. They shared a passion for camping, fishing, movies and music. Shelia retired from a successful and thriving real estate business and was Vice President of Guarantee Real Estate.
Shelia took on a hard and painful fight with cancer for the last couple of years, and because of the devoted loving care that her two sons, Eric and Billy had given her, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, along with the help at times from her good friend Lola, she was able to remain in her home that she loved, until the day she passed.
One of her biggest comforts besides family, was having two loving cats, Tiger and Funny Face, who were constantly on her lap giving her unconditional love.
Shelia loved when family and friends came together in their beautiful and relaxing backyard. The best memories of Shelia will linger in our hearts and minds as we remember her sincere and happy smile brought on by the love given to her from all who loved her so dearly.
One of the greatest comforts we have been given to help us through this sorrowful time are the actual words and promise from our Lord Jesus given to us in John 14 beginning in verse 1, He tells us, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In My Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

I was privileged to know and work with Shelia for many years. She was a wonderful woman and was dedicated to everyone who she worked with or had working for her. She built a large and thriving office for our company and trained hundreds of new real estate agents. I was greatly blessed to have her as a key manager and even more blessed to call her my friend. May God receive her with joy and reward her with his great gift of eternal life. I pray for her family's peace and comfort. Bless you all.

Shelia was my first mother in law. I loved her very much. I have known her for over 35 years. She is the grandma and great grandma to my babies. She leaves a legacy of love and special memories. I'll be looking forward to seeing her in Heaven. Love you Shelia.
