Shizuye Irene Tamura

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tamura, parents, Yoichi and lzumi Hirata, sister and her husband, Lois and Ted Yamamoto, brother and wife,Richard and Molly Hirata, and brother, Frank Hirata.

Irene graduated from Sanger High School, and married Harold. They were married for 65 wonderful years. They moved their family to Madera, California, in 1950, where they farmed and raised their family. She enjoyed ceramics, bonsai, and travel.

The family would like to thank Dr. George Bertolucci and his staff, Dr. Helen Jones and the wonderful ICU staff at Saint Agnes for their support and care.

She is survived by her daughters and husbands, Diane and Raymond Reeves, III, of Madera, and Charlene and Calvin Nishinaka of Morro Bay; grandchildren, Randal Kanzaki of Fresno, Kimberly Kight and husband Kevin, of Santa Rosa, Scott Nishinaka and wife Jennifer of Selma and Tara Aherne and husband Kevin, from Bakersfield; great-grandchildren, Kody, Konnor, Kolton, Niko, Zachary and Dylan; brother Bill Hirata and wife Mary of Reedley, her sister-in-law Violet Hirata of Ocean CA., and 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 11:00 AM.
