Dr. Shui-Hay “Ruby” Luk Tom was born on May 2, 1923 and was welcomed into Heaven on March 3, 2020. She was born in Hong Kong to Poo Hong Leung and her husband Luk Yao Gong, the Head of the Department of Education under former President of the Republic of China Sun Yat-sen. She was the third child born in a family of nine children. In 1944 she graduated from the National Sun Yat-sen University then attended their medical school. She became an assistant professor and worked at the Hong Kong Government Hospital as an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician. In 1952 Ruby immigrated to America, then fell in love and married William Young Tom the following year. They had two sons, Thomas and Thompson; one daughter, Wilma; and two daughters-in-law, Karen and Linda. Their greatest joy was being with their four grandchildren, Kristen, Marissa, William, and Kylene. She is now reunited with Dad and her large loving family in Heaven.
