Dear Family.......I send this with sadness and rejoice to celebrate my Uncle Simon. Always from afar, my Uncle Simon and his family lived in another state. Growing up we would have family gatherings in San Antonio and those were always good memories!
I pray for my Aunt Hilda knowing this is a very difficult time and know her family will be there to take care of her. Uncle Simon, you will be missed by all your family members. Michael

The world lost another member of the "Greatest Generation" when my uncle Simon passed away. Always a hard worker and a testament as a good father and husband for bringing up four fine children and loving his wife through all of his 96 years on this earth. He was never one to sit still and let the world go by him. Instead he was always on the go and making things happen. I see your face and hear your voice. I only wish I could have lived closer to your family so that we could have spent more time together. Rest well. Love, Pat Johnson

Uncle Simon, dearly loved spouse, father, grandfather, brother, uncle. I know your family and friends will miss your beautiful smile, great sense of humor and kindness and generosity. I was always so impressed how in your senior years you had such energy and enthusiasm for your sports, carpenter skills and garden. Always willing to help others! May you find comfort in heaven with your son and family. With Loving thoughts, Linda

Remembering fondly the great father, husband and friend he always was. We admired his ability to play baseball well into his senior years. He stayed fit and involved and loved the travel. Simon and Hilda were wonderful hosts in their home. You could feel the love and pride they had for their children and grandchildren. We will always remember his gentle spirit. May he rest in the peace he deserves.
