

She married Frank Kwok in Canton and relocated to Hong Kong in 1945, where they raised six children. In 1959, seeking to find a better life for their children, they relocated to the United States, then called the Golden Mountain. Frank and Siu May worked for several restaurants in Fresno, Ca. They saved up enough money to open their own place, opening the original Moy's Kitchen in 1969. They ran two more restaurants before finally retiring. Siu May stayed active with her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children. She enjoyed playing mah jong, short trips to the local casino, and traveling with her children all over Asia and Canada. Grandma Kwok was known by her grandchildren as the easy-going grandma who loved to laugh at their jokes and pranks.
Siu May was preceded in death by her husband Frank; her sons, Benny and Jimmy; and daughter-in- law Pauline.
She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia Lum and her husband Guy; son, Danny Kwok; daughter, Diana Kong and her husband Darrell; son, Peter Kwok and his wife Angelia; daughters-in-law, Rirginia Kwok and Cheryl Kwok; 12 grandchildren, and; nine great-grandchildren, all of the Fresno/Clovis area.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be at Lisle Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
