Stephanie Lynne Wagner

Stephanie Lynne Wagner was born in Fresno, California on February 26, 1949, to parents Henry and Inge Andersen. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the age of 67 with her husband, son and daughter by her side.

She graduated from Washington Union High School in 1967 and attended Reedley College before becoming a dental assistant. Once the kids were born, she became a full-time mother and homemaker.

Steffi married Robert Wagner in Fresno on July 15, 1972, an event that was remembered by many in attendance due to the hot weather. The high temperature was 111 degrees, a record that still stands today. Bob and Steffi celebrated their 44th anniversary this past July.

Steffi was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Inge Andersen; and her sister, Jeanette Eskelsen.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her children (and their spouses): Troy and Lorrie Wagner and Brooke and Beau Matthews; her grandchildren: Carson, Drake, Morgan, Chase and Erick; her brother, Richard Andersen and his wife, Carol; her favorite aunt, Miriam Eskelsen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 364 E. Barstow Ave., Fresno, CA 93710, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 340 W. Fallbrook Ave., Fresno, CA 93711.
