Steve Camacho Jr.

He was born in Fresno, CA., on March 8, 1960. Steve grew up in Mendota, CA. and graduated from Tranquillity Union High School in 1979. He was an avid fan of all Fresno State Athletics, GO DOGS!

Steve worked as an Ag Chemical Delivery Driver for High Desert Ag of Mendota, CA for nearly 30 years.

The family wishes to thank St. Agnes Medical Center, UCSF Medical Center, San Joaquin Valley Rehab Hospital, St. Agnes Cancer Center and St. Agnes Home Health and Hospice for all their special care during his battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora Salas Cruz and sister, Lily Ortiz.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Julie, of 17 years; son, Steven Camacho; stepson, David Scott and daughter in-law Shera and granddaughter Kenna; and stepson, Jim Scott. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Cruz; sisters, Frances Cortez, Minnie Dabbs, Berta Camacho, and Elizabeth Cruz; many nieces, nephews and Goddaughter, Morgan Meza. Steve also leaves behind his rescue puppy, Wiggles.

Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM

Funeral Services will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Monday, August 6, 2012, at 10:00 AM, with Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
