Steve, you will be greatly missed by so many family and friends. So many years living the country life, no fences, just hanging out in our front yards glaring up at the stars and making wishes. Those were the great days no cares in the world. May your mom and dad be waiting for you with open arms...🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼Rest In Peace dear friend.

Steve was Jennie's best friend and then through her became one of mine... We shared a lot through her illness and he is "family' to all of us .... He has been at our family functions has taken pictures of us all for years .. Some of our best ones are the ones he has taken (they are all over my house) ... My grandkids believe him to be "Uncle Steve". I pray the Nellie, Genero and the rest of the family and friends find peace and love in knowing how much he is loved.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve when he started working for Fresno County. He was a gentle soul and hard working individual. My wife Janet also had the pleasure of working with him occasionally when he worked for the City of Fresno.

To my dear friend Steve; I'm still in disbelief that you are gone! You will be greatly missed with your contagious smile and your big and caring heart. Thank you for being a great friend to Eddie and I throughout the years! We've made so many great memories that I will cherish forever in my heart. Like in high school when we had classes together and shared many laughs, hung out together during and after school events, going to hang out at your house after our class reunion. Just a year ago on 9/29/18 (my birthday), you attended my Retirement/Birthday dinner and we talked that you were going to retire soon as we both were City of Fresno Employees. Photo attached is the last photo we took at my Retirement/Birthday dinner- you, myself and another high school classmate Ralfie Sanchez. Gone too soon but will never be forgotten. Rest in Paradise my dear friend Stevie
Love you❤ Til we meet again💞🌹💞

To Steve's family: I've worked at FAX since 2008 and while I don't remember exactly when my first interaction with Steve was, I know it was a positive first meeting. Because we worked in different buildings I didn't get to see him very often, but when I did it always brought a smile to my face. My heart broke when I heard of his passing. He was one of the kindest, most helpful people and I will miss him! I wanted you to know that I am so grateful to have known him, I will not forget him, and I pray that your grief is eased even a little by knowing the legacy he left at FAX (very big shoes to fill).
Much love,
Darlene Christiansen

Steve oh Steve, how could this be, you were taken so suddenly. I am in disbelief that you are gone. We can't imagine what life will be like without you. Even though we didnt see one another like years before, just knowing you were right there visiting was close enough. Steve you have so so many family and friends that will be missing you. You were such a good party planner, bringing your family together whenever possible. We knew each other for what 63 yrs living next door. Goung to elementary school at west park and then off to Washington union. I'm going to miss you muncho. Love you and RIP my dear friend. Mom and dad and Robert will be waiting for you.

My thoughts are with Steve's family in their time of sadness. I remember Steve as a warm, thoughtful, caring and fun loving man. Even though we did not keep in touch, I have good memories of time spent with him and The Medrano family.
