Oh, Steve, my friend. It hurt me to hear the news. You were a good person and an amazing mechanic. The bluest eyes. You never turned me away whenever I needed you. No job was too small and none too big. I wish I could have helped you more, but my arms were too short and my pockets too shallow, so prayer was all I could do more. The neighborhood will miss the sound of your footsteps. I remembered you kicking the ball high above the tree across the street from my grandparent's home when I was a boy. Now I'm a man and the tree doesn't look as tall and Braly street don't look the same: many of the families moved out and with you gone it won't ever be.
