Steven Hirasuna passed away suddenly on November 9th at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Steven was born August 9, 1952 in Fresno, California where he lived and worked most of his life, graduating from McLane High School and California State University, Fresno where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degree in Counseling. He is pre-deceased by his parents Kazuye and Herb Hirasuna. He is survived by spouse Kathy, sisters Diane (Kenneth) Azuma and Barbara (Marshall) Lai, nephews and niece Daniel (Ada) Azuma, Stephanie (Steve) Su, Matthew (Rosemary) Azuma, and grand-nephews Evan and Owen Su and grand-niece Abigail Azuma. A service in celebration of his life will be held Monday, November 23, 11:00 a.m., at the United Japanese Christian Church, 136 N. Villa Avenue, Clovis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Japanese Christian Church in Clovis.
