Teresa Louise Piacentini

Teresa Piacentini was born February 29, 1960, in Fresno, CA, and passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Fresno CA. She was the third of three children born to Angie and Angelo Sanchez.

Teresa proudly served as a EMHC at St. Anthony of Padua. Teresa was also very active with CSEA chapter 125 union, she served on the executive board as, Chapter Public Relations Officer and First Vice President. Teresa was a proud job steward and stood up for her union members with passion; she was a strong advocate for equality and fair rights for all. She also served on several committees to represent her union members. Teresa worked with Fresno Unified School District for 36 years and retired as a secretary with the Special Education Department. She loved making a difference in the lives of the families and students she assisted daily. Teresa also followed in her mother’s footsteps and sold Avon for many years. This was something the two of them were able to share and have fun with together.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad Angie and Angelo Sanchez. Is survived by her husband Joe Piacentini; sons Ruben Quintero and Steven Rivera; daughter Aundrea Piacentini; grandchildren Steven Rivera, Jr., Dezmond Rivera and Juliani Rivera.

A visitation for Teresa will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, followed by a rosary service at 6:00 PM.

A mass of christian burial service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 5770 N Maroa Ave, Fresno, CA 93704 followed by a committal service at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, immediately after the mass of christian burial service.
