Terry Rucks was born January 29th in 1952 in Camden Arkansas, the second of five children to Daniel and Christine Rucks. The family moved to California, finally settling in Menlo Park where Terry was raised.
Terry attended Belle Haven elementary school, Green Oaks middle school, Menlo-Atherton High School, and the California Academy of Drafting.
Terry held positions in corporate security, and worked for several car dealerships in customer transportation services, and operations.
Terry was an avid bowler, participating in local bowling leagues for many years. He was an amateur photographer, capturing countless photos of his dear young niece Chalese as she frolicked with the family dog Big Boy, whom she named.
Terry loved all of the professional and college sports teams in the Bay Area, and had the opportunity to meet many of his heroes, including Willi Mays and Jerry Rice
After he retired Terry enjoyed taking long morning walks along the Bay Front Park, enjoying the rolling hills, and bay views.
Above all Terry was a kind and gentle soul who appreciated people for who they were.
Terry was preceded in death by his Parents Daniel & Christine Rucks of Menlo Park, Ca. Brother Larry Rucks & sister in law Shirley Rucks of San Diego, Ca. He is survived by his Brother Ricky Rucks of Menlo Park, Ca sister Sheila Rucks Eddings & brother in law Alfred Eddings of Fresno, Ca. and a host of nieces & nephews & many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, located at 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, United States. The service is scheduled for December 5, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
