Ubaldo was born on May 22, 1940, in Michoacán, Mexico, to his parents Natividad and Maria Ruiz.
Ubaldo was a resident of Fresno, California, where he built a life filled with love and dedication. He worked tirelessly as a truck driver for a landscaping business for 40 years, demonstrating his commitment and work ethic throughout his career.
Ubaldo's education was his life, and he always liked to read, especially Kaliman and cowboy magazines, which was what was popular to read at that time.
Ubaldo met his wife, Guadalupe Chavez Ortiz, on the corner of where she lived, and they would spend their time there hanging out. They eventually married and started a loving family. Together, they raised their children and grandchildren.
Ubaldo is predeceased by his parents, Natividad and Maria Ruiz. He is also predeceased by brothers Roberto and Natividad, and sister Guadalupe Ruiz.
Ubaldo is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Chavez Ortiz, and his children, Maria, Guadalupe, and Samuel. He is survived by his siblings Carmen, Susana, Eva, Lilia (Nalda), Rosa Juana, Luis, and Martin Ruiz. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gilberto, Fatima, Rene, Kevin, and Amat, as well as great grandchildren Giovani and Abelardo.
A visitation for Ubaldo will be held on March 28, 2025, starting at 4:30 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow starting at 7:00 pm.
A funeral service for Ubaldo will be held on March 29, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Victory Church, located at 2838 N West Avenue, Fresno, California. The committal service will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens, located at 175 S Cornelia Avenue, Fresno, California.
Ubaldo's family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to offer love and support during this difficult time. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos que Ubaldo Ruiz Hernández, una persona querida y de buen corazón, falleció el 18 de Marzo de 2025, a la edad de 84 años.
Ubaldo nació el 22 de Mayo de 1940 en Michoacán, México, de sus padres Natividad y María Ruiz.
Ubaldo residió en Fresno, California, donde construyó una vida llena de amor y dedicación. Trabajó incansablemente como camionero en una empresa de paisajismo durante 40 años, demostrando su compromiso y ética laboral a lo largo de su carrera.
La educación de Ubaldo fue su vida, y siempre le gustó leer, especialmente Kaliman y revistas de vaqueros, que era lo que se leía con frecuencia en esa época.
Ubaldo conoció a su esposa, Guadalupe Chávez Ortiz, en la esquina de donde ella vivía, y allí pasaban el tiempo juntos. Finalmente se casaron y formaron una familia amorosa. Juntos criaron a sus hijos y nietos.
A Ubaldo le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Natividad y María Ruiz. También le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos Roberto y Natividad, y su hermana Guadalupe Ruiz.
A Ubaldo le sobreviven su esposa, Guadalupe Chávez Ortiz, y sus hijos, María, Guadalupe y Samuel. Le sobreviven sus hermanos, Carmen, Susana, Eva, Lilia (Nalda), Rosa Juana, Luis y Martín Ruiz. También le sobreviven sus nietos, Gilberto, Fátima, René, Kevin y Amat, así como sus bisnietos, Giovani y Abelardo.
El velatorio por Ubaldo se realizará el 28 de Marzo de 2025 a partir de las 16:30 h en la Funeraria Stephens and Bean, ubicada en 202 North Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California. Seguirá el rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las 7:00 pm.
El funeral de Ubaldo se celebrará el 29 de Marzo de 2025 a las 12:00 p. m. en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, ubicada en 2838 N West Avenue, Fresno, California. El sepelio se realizará posteriormente en Fresno Memorial Gardens, ubicado en 175 S Cornelia Avenue, Fresno, California.
