Mom, I miss you so much. Life has always remained difficult not having you here. Now more than ever I wish you were here to give me your guidance. I speak to you often and you still find ways to speak to me. Now that I'm older I understand so much of what you were going through. I only wish I could have done more for you then, knowing what I know now about life & relationships. I see you in my children , and I try to mother them in all the ways you loved me. You are so special. Thank you for everything you have taught me leading into what I am facing now. I take comfort in knowing you are with yiayia and pous. One day i will be with all of you again and that brings me peace. Forever your girl

It's been a year since you left us & I still can't believe it's real.  I wish so much that you were still here with us - there are so many times when I see or hear something & my first thought is, "I need to tell Valerie!" but then reality sets in & I remember you're gone...  You were such a good friend & you are dearly missed.  You are now free from the troubles in this world & I know we'll see you again.  You are with your mom & dad & I know you are at peace.  We miss you, Valerie...

In just a few days will be exactly 1 year since i last saw you. I miss you so much mom my heart breaks more and more everyday knowing your not here. I just dont know how to live the rest of my life without you.  I love you forever mom

Today would have been Valerie's birthday if she were still with us.  I miss her friendship and going grocery shopping with her.  I hope to meet her in Heaven some day in the future.  You are in my thoughts Valerie and I miss you.

I had been telling Michelle about the time we were on the phone (well over three hours) and you suddenly said "Kathy hold on it's too quite I've got to go see what Michelle is up to."  I heard in the background "Michelle! What did you do?!"  I thought uhoh, but we had a good laugh after the fact that Michelle took a pen to Patches and played Connect a Dot on the poor dog!
