

Vinto attended Teague Elementary School, and was a 1942, graduate of Central Union High School. He served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947.
He married Norma Louise Rinetti on November 18, 1950. They had a daughter Denise, and a son David. After 63 years of marriage, Norma passed away on August 21, 2014.
Vinto was a farmer his entire life. He was very active in the Raisin Bargaining Association, the Raisin Administrative Committee, as well as the Italo American Club, where he served on the Board. Vinto was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 32, and the Edison Social Club.
He enjoyed playing bocce at the Italo American Club and traveling to various tournaments with the Dancing Raisin Team.
Vinto took great delight in attending his granddaughter, Michelle's school and athletic activities. Vinto enjoyed the Italo American dinner dances with Norma. In later years, Vinto had the pleasure of going to Italy and three cruises with his immediate family.
Vinto was a great Dad and Nonno and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his four angels, Gloria, Kaylee, Rosa and Terri, for the great care they have given him during the last few years. The family would also like to thank his doctors, Dr. Linda Bartell; Dr. Dexter Estrada; and Dr. Robert Chambers, for their excellent care.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma; parents, Ones and Ines Scarabello; and brothers-in-law, Victor Caprioglio, and Pete Frugoli.
Vinto is survived by his daughter, Denise Hurst and her husband Michael; his son, David Scarabello and his wife Teri; granddaughter, Michelle, who was the apple of his eye; sister, Annie Caprioglio; sister-in-law, Edna Frugoli; nephew, Dennis Caprioglio, and his family; and niece, Linda Hood, and her family.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church Building Fund, 4636 W. Dakota, Fresno, CA 93722; or the donor's favorite charity.
