Warren DeLap

Warren Gibbs DeLap was born December 9, 1923 in Reedley, California. He passed away September 17, 2012 at the age of 88. Warren graduated from Reedley High School and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Billie Jean Setser from Tulare, California in 1947 and they made their home in Fresno for 64 years. He had a long, successful career with the United States Postal Service until his retirement from Postmaster of the Sanger Branch. He was a proud member of East Fresno Rotary and served 30 years in the Air National Guard. He was an avid golfer and spent many years as a member of the Fig Garden Golf Course.

Warren is survived by his wife, Billie Jean; son, Steven DeLap of Fresno; daughter Debra Allen and her husband David of Redding, CA; daughter Kevyn Sue Johnston and her husband Jim of Fresno. He is also survived by three Grandchildren; Jennifer Addis and her husband Mark of Clovis; Jim Johnston and his wife Leanne of Fresno and Zachary Allen and his wife Lindsey of Redding. He was also proud to have seven Great-Grandchildren; Peter Addis, 8; Jimmy Johnston, 5; Emily Addis, 5; Grayson Allen, 4; Grace Johnston, 3; Lucy Addis, 3 and Jack Johnston, 5 months old. He was a loving husband, Father and Grandfather and will be greatly missed.

A Graveside service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Monday, September 24, at 10AM.
