Bill joined the United States Air Force in 1956, which brought him to Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, CA. He moved to Fresno in 1960, where he worked in sales and later became a realtor. Bill lived life to its fullest and never met a stranger. He loved to talk, laugh, and most of all to win at everything.
He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Keller, Laurie Hoke, and Sandy Hale; his sons-in-law, Vincent Hoke, and Spencer Hale; grandsons, Vinni and
Dylan Hoke, and Joshua Byfield; his longtime companion, Mary Crotts; sisters, Louise Smith, Betty Jo Benton, and Mary Laughlin, of Gaffney, SC; and many nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the VA Central California Health Care System, 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703.
