William passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015. William was 101 years old, and was born on May 16, 1913, in Fresno, CA. William was a raisin grower for over 50 years in the Biola area. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by Hisako, his wife of 62 years.
William is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Sumi; son, Jeffrey Sumi and his wife Kathy; grandchildren, David and Amber Sumi, Kristina Sumi, Kari and Gilbert Ramirez, and Douglas Sumi; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at United Japanese Christian Church on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
