Yim Chun Loo

In 1964, she, her husband, Pak Woon Loo, and 5 children immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong; three years later she welcomed her sixth child.

She, together with her husband, ran a successful family Chinese restaurant called The Show Boat for 18 years in Fresno, CA. During retirement, she and her husband traveled to Hong Kong each year as well as many other foreign countries. She enjoyed walking, gardening, playing mah jong and being with her family. She was a hard worker, caring friend to many and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her son, Paul Loo and wife Kamela, and daughters, Josephine Ho, Margaret Lew and husband, Jack; Wanda Lee and husband, Harry; Mimi Cho and husband, Will; and Petula Veatch and husband, Chris; and 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L St, Fresno, CA 93721, on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a reciting of the Rosary immediately following at 7:00 p.m.

Viewing will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 1127 Tulare St, Fresno, CA 93706, on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service and mass immediately following at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Genevieve Catholic Church.
