Yvonne was born in Ewa, Hawaii on October 9, 1930 to a family of 3 brothers (Kenji, Isao, Lawrence) and 3 sisters (Sadae, Yoshiko, Audrey). She settled in Kingsburg when she married Yutaka Tokumoto helping her husband farm grapes, tomatoes and strawberries. She past away peacefully on the evening of April 2, 2023 with her friends and family. She is survived by her son; Theodore and her grandson Todd.
Yvonne was an active member of the Kingsburg Buddhist Church always helping out at the Church potlucks, picnics, church services and gatherings. She also had a wonderful sense of adventure. She enjoyed visiting new places, learning new crafts, and excursions to casinos. Trying new foods was probably her favorite past time. She was always wanting to try a new cuisine or dish. Through the years she accumulated and shared a lot of recipes with friends and families. Eating good food always brought a big smile to her face. She will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held 3:30 pm, April 29, 2023 at the Kingsburg Buddhist Church, 852 Orange St, Kingsburg, CA 93631.
