

Alice was born on March 24, 1948, in Putham, Connecticut, to Arthur and Gertrude Brochu. She grew up surrounded by family and friends and carried with her throughout life the strong values of kindness, resilience, and compassion that she learned in her early years.
Alice was known for her vibrant personality and her deep love for life. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that made others feel comfortable and valued. Her laughter, generosity, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She believed in cherishing life’s simple moments and was always ready with a kind word, a smile, or a helping hand.
Alice married Major Mikel Fiske on 09/01/12, after reconnecting at Killingly High School 48th class reunion. They enjoyed traveling, attending several concerts, sporting events, and many grandchildren sporting and school events.
Throughout her life, Alice formed many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people with her genuine warmth. Family was always at the center of her world, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved. Whether gathering for holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, Alice’s presence made every moment brighter.
Alice is survived by her oldest son, Rick Pohronezny, she was pre-deceased by her youngest son, Gary Pohronezny. Surviving family members, younger brother Art Brochu, his wife Cheryl, her older sister Irene Nichols, her pre-deceased brother, Ernie Brochu, pre-deceased brother Albert Brochu, and widow Sharon Brochu, and several nieces, nephews, and Grandchildren.
Alice will be remembered for her strength, her loving heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
