

Ann Elizabeth Kingsley Lange was born on May 2, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Daniel Milton Kingsley and Helen Eloise Wilson Kingsley. She passed peacefully in her sleep on November 16, 2025, at Baylor Centennial Hospital in Frisco, Texas.
Ann’s life and career were rich with variety and purpose. She worked as a math teacher at an inner-city high school in New Orleans, later becoming a manager for the Bellsouth phone company. She continued her education as a nontraditional student at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, and went on to practice as a clinical psychologist in Salt Lake City, Utah, eventually serving as a traveling psychologist throughout Texas.
A devoted advocate for animal rights, Ann supported numerous organizations and volunteered her time in pet transport networks. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed mysteries and romance novels, and she traveled to Europe several times. Gifted in mathematics, she earned a Merit Scholarship in high school. During her youth, she participated in Chi Omega sorority events at Tulane University. Alongside her brother, and as part of a trained and guided group, she climbed the highest peak in Grand Teton National Park after completing a short mountaineering course. Ann also took joy in hosting holiday gatherings for friends and coworkers who could not be with their own families.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Helen Kingsley, and by her former husband, Kurt Lange. She is survived by her siblings, Lawrence Kingsley and Kathy Kingsley; her children, Alan and Elena Lange; her daughter-in-law, Darenda; and her grandchildren, Lorenza, Helen, and Rodolfo Lange.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas
