Anna was born with a heart full of compassion and a spirit that shined wherever she went. She built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and kindness. For many years, Anna worked in commercial real estate as a property manager, where her professionalism, warmth, and integrity earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of work, Anna’s heart was devoted to serving others. She was an active churchgoer and found great joy in volunteering at food pantries, especially during the holidays. Her giving nature was evident to all who knew her — Anna would help anyone in need, often putting others before herself without hesitation.
At home, Anna’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She shared 21 years of love and partnership with her husband, Emmitt Gayton, and was a devoted mother to Alexis Cardona, Mariah Gayton, and Aleyah Gayton. Anna embraced Alexis as her own daughter, loving her with the same care, guidance, and warmth she gave all her children.
She was also a proud grandmother to Gabriella, Arabella, Kataleya, and Kehlani, who brought her endless happiness and laughter.
Anna’s personality was defined by love, kindness, and generosity. She had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. She was a great listener, a loyal friend, and a steady source of comfort to those around her. Anna loved to cook, dance, and most of all, spend time with her family — creating memories filled with laughter, joy, and togetherness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Austin.
Anna is survived by her loving husband, Emmitt Gayton; her daughters, Alexis Cardona, Mariah Gayton, and Aleyah Gayton; her four granddaughters, Gabriella, Arabella, Kataleya, and Kehlani; her mother, Shirley Austin; her grandmother-in-law, Virginia Norris; her brothers, Nathan Austin and Micah Austin of Miller County, Arkansas; her brothers-in-law, Andrew Gayton, Robert Gayton, and Louis Gayton; her sisters-in-law, Maria Rodriguez and Angela Hernandez; and many beloved nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
Anna’s life was a reflection of grace, compassion, and selflessness. Though her time here was far too short, her impact will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she left behind.
A memorial service celebrating Anna’s life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Springcreek Church located at 2660 Belt Line Rd, Garland, Texas 75044. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and celebrating the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
