Anna Marie Bishop, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Born on April 13, 1962, to Eduardo and Minda Mendoza, Anna grew into a woman defined by warmth, generosity, creativity, and unwavering love.
A proud Navy spouse for 38 years, Anna built a life rooted in resilience, service, and community. She embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom with joy and devotion, later channeling her natural talent for beauty and design into a successful career in real estate and home design. No matter where life took her, Anna had a rare gift for turning a house into a home, one filled with comfort, laughter, and open doors.
Known as the ultimate hostess, Anna welcomed everyone with open arms and a full table. Her incredible cooking, meticulous party planning, and infectious zest for celebration made every gathering feel magical. She poured love into every detail, into every dish, and every moment shared.
Creativity flowed naturally from her hands and heart. Anna found immense joy in crafting, especially sewing, dressmaking, and anything covered with glitter. She was always trying something new and her creations stitched together memories as much as they did fabric, leaving pieces of herself with all who knew her.
She loved the sun on her skin at the beach, the thrill of shopping trips, and, most of all, SHOES. Fashion was her playground, and she embraced it boldly. And when football season arrived, there was no bigger, louder fan of the San Francisco 49ers than Anna, cheering with the same passion she brought to every other part of her life.
Anna is preceded in death by her father, Eduardo Mendoza; her sister, Emma Mendoza; her father-in-law, Bob Bishop; and her mother-in-law, Ina Bishop.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Bishop; her loving children, Francheska and Cole Barron, Jacob and Michaela Bishop, and Alex and Hannah Ebarguen; and her adored grandchildren, Matthew and Finan Barron, and James, Madison, and Natalie Bishop. She is also survived by her mother, Minda Mendoza; her mother-in-law, Janie Bishop; her siblings, Tav Mendoza, Maria and Claes Dalhén, and Ellen and Don Church; and her extended Bishop-Luke families: Duane and Carolyn Bishop, Kenny and Christy Luke, Cathie Luke, and Christine and David Hanlon. Beyond family, she leaves behind countless Navy friends who became family through nearly four decades of shared journeys.
Anna’s legacy is one of love—love expressed in service, celebration, creativity, and the many lives she touched along the way. Her presence lit up every room, and her absence leaves an ache that will be felt forever. Yet her spirit lives on in the laughter she inspired, the memories she shaped, and the family she held so dear.
She will be deeply, tenderly, and eternally missed.
Anna’s Celebration of Life will be hosted at Stonebriar Funeral Home (10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75034) on January 10th, 2026 at 1:00pm (that's 1300 for you military types). Please join her family as we remember her amazing life. This is a time for joy and celebration, not sadness, so let's leave somber clothes and tears at the door as we send Anna off with a party, just as she would have wanted.
