

Armetha graduated from the Dallas Methodist Hospital Nursing School. She later earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Texas Women's University. She married Bob Norris on February 9, 1952. They raised their children in Frisco, and throughout their many years together enjoyed traveling, especially in Alaska.
Armetha was a dedicated nurse while working in hospitals, including Collin Memorial Hospital in McKinney, and for Dr. Erwin G. Pink in Frisco. She later began school nursing in Dallas ISD before coming to Frisco ISD, where she was the first school health coordinator and established the school nurse program in Frisco. Norris Elementary School, in Frisco, was named after her in honor of her care and dedication to the students of Frisco.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Armetha is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Bob Norris; her daughter Cheryl and husband Bill; her son, Robert; her daughter, Mari; grandchildren, Abbi, Lath, Kai, Shawn, Leilani, and Riley; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Addi May, Reid, and Emme; sister-in-law, Gail; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday 14th, 2022 at 1pm, with family receiving guests at 11:30am at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas.
An inurnment for Armetha will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 3:15pm at Dallas/Ft Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
