Beloved Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Friend, and Our Little Princess Warrior.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Avery Grace Vera, who gained her angel wings on August 16, 2026, at just eight precious years old.
Although Avery’s time on this earth was far too short, the love, joy, and light she brought into our lives will remain forever.
Avery was a beautiful, sassy, sparkling little girl with a personality that could light up any room. Her smile, laughter, loving heart, and sweet spirit brought happiness wherever she went. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, classmates, teachers, and everyone blessed to know her.
Avery was our true Princess Warrior. She faced every challenge with strength and courage far beyond her years. When she received her heart transplant, our family prayed and believed she would have many more years to grow, laugh, love, and make memories. Although her journey took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn, Avery never stopped fighting and was surrounded by love every step of the way.
Avery leaves behind her loving mother, Maryann, and father, Angel, who loved her beyond measure; her beloved bonus dad, Sergio Briones, who loved her as his own; and her precious sisters, Juliett, Anyssa, and Ireanna, who will forever carry their sister in their hearts.
Our family finds comfort in knowing that Avery is now resting peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus—free from pain and suffering and surrounded by eternal love.
Though our hearts are broken, Avery’s memory will live on in every smile, laugh, prayer, story, and beautiful memory she gave us.

Eight precious years were not nearly enough, but those eight years were a gift we will treasure forever.

Visitation will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033, US, on August 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75033, on August 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. With a Committal Service to follow at Little Elm Cemetery, Little Elm, TX 75033 beginning at 12:30 pm.
