Betty R Eldred

Betty Ray Dawson Eldred was born February 27, 1921 and passed away on August 3, 2016. She grew up in Greentown, IN with four siblings, Jack, Robert, Elaine, and Hellen. Betty graduated from Monroeville High School in Monroeville, OH. Betty was a caregiver for most of her life. She was very active in her church communities and a member of the Christian Women’s Club. She was always willing to help other in need. Betty was a regular donor to Trinity Broadcasting where she loved to watch Billy Graham preach the Word of God. She loved baseball, swimming, golf, crossword puzzles, reading her Bible and having lunch with her girls. Her favorite place to be was sitting on the porch watching her grandchildren play.

Paul H. Eldred and Betty Dawson married on October 12, 1940 and they had 72 years of marriage together before Paul passed away in 2012. They had one son and three grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Paul; parents Roscoe Lee Dawson and Ada Florence Martin Dawson.

She is survived by her son, John R. Eldred and wife Holly Eldred of Allen, TX; granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Eldred of Little Rock, AR; grandson Jonathan Paul Eldred of Collierville, TN; and granddaughter Myah Grace Eldred of Allen, TX.
