Carol Jean Vitale

Carol Jean DeLoss Vitale was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on 10 August 1940, the daughter of Michael and Carrie DeLoss. Carol graduated from Meadville Senior High School in 1958 and attended the Gale Institute in Minneapolis before accepting a position with the Department of the Navy in Washington, D. C. In 1959 she married Barry L. Starr, and resided in Ft. Madison, IA where she was employed at the Burlington Atomic Energy Commission Plant in Middleton, IA. Carol and her husband divorced, and she moved to Meadville with her four sons in 1968. In 1972, Carol married Michael V. Vitale, also of Meadville, and settled in the Dallas area in 1985. She retired from a career in property management in 2004 and lived out her remaining days in McKinney, Texas following the death of her husband in 2014

Carol was survived by her six children - Michael Eric Starr of South Riding, VA; Jeffrey Robert Starr of Chino Hills, CA; Dean Lynn Starr of Lakewood, WA; Stephen Todd Starr of Evans, GA, Carrie Ann Taylor of Anna, TX; and Christopher David Vitale of Wylie, TX; her sisters Kathleen Mosbacher of Meadville, PA; and Joanne Whitehead of Centerville, OH. Carol also had 16 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
