

Charlene Cason Jones, age 86, passed away on October 13, 2024 after her 19-year struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born on July 24, 1938, she attended Roger Q. Mills Elementary School, Boude Storey Junior High School, South Oak Cliff High School, and the University of North Texas.
Married for 67 years, she leaves behind her loving husband, Earl Bedford “Bud” Jones, and their children, Laurie Jones Sperrazza and husband, Dale, Laine Jones, and Casey Jones and wife, Jennifer. Charlene was blessed with five grandchildren, Scott, Kevin and Shawn Sperrazza, AJ Fisk, Hannah Jones Addison and two great-grandsons, Everett and Asher Addison. Charlene is also survived by her sister, Bobbie Kee.
In high school she was a member of the South Oak Cliff Golden Debs and the Rifle Team. Throughout the years she volunteered in her children's schools, drove junior high carpools, and cheered for her children and grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities. Charlene was a fabulous homemaker, seamstress, hostess and loved to cook for family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on her Austin porch laughing, singing and visiting. Charlene loved to travel with Bud, her children and dear friends. She also enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns.
She is predeceased by her father Charles Cason, mother Lula Albritton Cason, step-mother Louise Cason and her brothers Nolan, Jim, Frank and David Cason.
A memorial service to celebrate Charlene’s life will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas, on November 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the charity of your choice.
