

He grew up in East Texas and graduated from Leveretts Chapel High School in Laird Hill, Texas and went on to graduate from A & M University in 1953.
After graduating, he went to work for Otis Pressure Control (later known as Otis Engineering/Halliburton) working in the Southwest Division, for the Louisiana Division, and the North Texas Home office for 40 years of loyal service. He traveled all over the world giving lectures and presentations of oil field service products for Halliburton.
After retirement, he continued to enjoy his favorite sports which he had pursued all his life such as hunting, fishing and golfing.
He hunted 30 years at Fort Davis, Texas and 23 years at San Saba, Texas . His fishing trips took him to Alaska, Canada , the coastal area, and the North Texas area.
After joining Hurricane Creek Country Club in 1996, he enjoyed many memorable years of golf with his friends.
Charlie is survived by his wife Barbara Sherill Cobb, his son, Chris Cobb and wife Mary Cobb, two granddaughters, Miranda and Paty: his daughter Judy Cobb; his brother Mike Cobb and wife Emma Cobb and children Mike Cobb and Kevin Cobb; his sister Charlotte Heatherly and children, Mark Heatherly, Denise Gibson, and Terrie Heatherly.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home.
A reception will follow in the Stonbriar Funeral Reception Room.
