Cordy was the firstborn to Teodoro Lopez and Josephine Lopez in Pecos, New Mexico on October 30th 1938. She was raised in Santa Fe with her two brothers and five sisters.Cordy graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1953, where she enjoyed participating in theatre and cheerleading.
In her young life, she explored various career options, but eventually found her place at Texas Instruments/Raytheon, where she led a fulfilling career for thirty years.
Cordy enjoyed photography, home décor, spending time with family, and British murder-mystery T.V. shows. Her greatest passion was researching her family history through genealogy. She was writing an expansive historical collection regarding her grandchildren’s lineage.
Cordy is survived by her children, Lara Greyson and husband Michael; Joe Lovato and wife Hillary; Chris Lovato and wife Susan; and her grandchildren Samantha and Alex Greyson.
Cordy lived her life as a truly strong and independent woman. Cordy had a radiant spirit and brightened the lives of those around her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
