Darryl Fiset was born on November 21, 1969 and passed away on August 16, 2019 at the VA hospital in Dallas, TX. Darryl was a warm hearted, thoughtful and quiet man who never complained, not even during the worst pain of chemotherapy. People enjoyed being around him and were drawn to his easy going and upfront manner. He will be missed by so many of his family, friends and his co-workers at American Airlines where he worked as an airplane mechanic. He maintained the planes that carried people all around the world for over 20 years.
An active outdoorsman, Darryl had a passion for bass fishing tournaments and was very good at catching the big ones. He also did some game hunting with a rifle, but more often he would hunt with a crossbow. He was very proud of his home in Tulsa, OK and loved to have the best of everything. He was especially proud of his bass boat. Darryl loved his cat Buddy, who now resides in Dallas with Frank & Marlene Creech.
Darryl served in the U. S. Army for 16 years, both active duty and reserved, including two deployments to the Middle East. While deployed, he was exposed to nuclear weapons and in 2009, he contracted cancer as a result. He fought the cancer for 10 years while still working at American Airlines.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Fiset. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Furman Fiset; mother, Marlene Creech; step-father, Frank Creech; parents in-law, Tina Marshall, and David & Debbie Pope; sister, Danyell Furman; step-siblings, Marcy Couturier, Shelly Conley, Lisa Kemplin, and David Creech; and his cat, Buddy.
