David Fred Smith, 63, of Little Elm Texas, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2020, two days before his 64th birthday. He was born on September 7, 1956 in West Covina, California to David and Edith Smith. The family moved to Texas when Dave was five years old so he grew up in the Dallas area.

He was a long time employee of Essilor of America for 30 years as a technical support technician working on the machines that make Crizal lenses. For those who knew him they would say that he was a genuine guy who had a passion to live life to the fullest. To illustrate his zest for adrenaline sports he would drag race his El Camino car named "Tuff'n Nuff" at the Yellow Belly Track and spent most of his free time tinkering around with the car. His new love was spending time out on Lake Lewisville swimming and enjoying the laughs of being pulled on the tube while surrounded by his princess Mari, friends and family. One of his lifelong hobbies was lifting weights and exercising. His favorite places to visit include his yearly trip to Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resort in New Braunfels, and recent trips to Cancun and Bangkok.

He is survived by his wife Marisol Smith and two children Isis Smith and David Smith from a previous marriage. He was step-dad to Ilias Glinos and step-daughter Arelin Marquez. He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

He will be remembered and loved ALWAYS!
