October 29, 1941 – March 25, 2026
Dennis Miller, 84, passed away peacefully in his home on March 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Dennis was one of a kind, quirky, quick-witted, and known for his goofy sense of humor and unfiltered honesty. He said what he meant and meant what he said, but behind it all was a heart of gold. He was the kind of man who showed up no matter what and was always there when anyone needed him.
In his younger years, Dennis worked as a busboy and paperboy before beginning his career as a Teamster at just 17 years old, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and toughness, qualities he carried throughout his life.
At the age of 20, Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn, beginning a lifelong journey rooted in love and family. Together, they built a life that would grow into something truly special, raising two daughters and later welcoming four granddaughters, five great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and another great-grandson on the way.
Dennis was a tough-as-nails father, but to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was simply “Grampy,” a title he wore with pride and love. He cherished his family deeply and lived for the moments spent together, whether it was camping at the lake, riding his Sea-Doo, or being surrounded by his family at gatherings. He loved when everyone was together.
Dennis had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. He loved working on cars and building cars and motorcycles, and in his younger years he was a drag racer who proudly had his own race car. Racing stayed with him throughout his life, and every weekend you could find him watching NHRA and NASCAR. After retiring, he spent countless hours in his shop doing what he loved most, fixing, building, and creating. He could build or repair just about anything, a true craftsman with a creative mind and the hands to match. He was also a talented artist, adding another layer to his ability to create and bring things to life.
He loved going to swap meets and antiquing, always on the hunt for something unique for his garage. One of his favorite traditions was attending the roadster show in Oakland, where his passion for cars and craftsmanship truly came to life. He didn’t just collect things for himself, but with the intention of passing things down to his grandchildren and sharing pieces of what he loved with the people he loved most.
He also had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cocker spaniel, Abby, who brought him endless companionship and joy up until his last breath.
Dennis was a man of few words, but he didn’t need many to leave a lasting impact. He built a legacy that will live on through generations, in the family he raised, the values he passed down, and the love that will continue long after him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lana.
Dennis will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his loyalty, and the way he made people feel supported and loved. His presence was steady, his love was constant, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
